European Markets End Tuesday on High Note

(MENAFN) European equities closed higher on the second trading day of the week, driven by renewed optimism over trade relations and an improved economic outlook.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 index advanced 0.33%, gaining 1.82 points to finish at 550.58.
Germany's DAX 40 posted a strong 1.03% increase, closing at 24,217.37 points. The UK's FTSE 100 rose 0.6%, settling at 9,136.32.

In France, the CAC 40 index climbed 0.72% to end at 7,857.36, while Italy’s FTSE MIB 30 jumped 1.23%, reaching 41,234.31 points. Spain’s IBEX 35 also saw a 0.9% rise, closing at 14,347.7 points.

Investor confidence was bolstered by the newly reached trade agreement between the US and the EU, which eased tariff-related uncertainties impacting markets.

Adding to the positive sentiment, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) upgraded its global growth projections, forecasting 3% expansion this year and 3.1% next year.
