Italy, Poland Push for Closer Coordination on European, Mideast Crises
In a statement posted on X following talks with his Polish counterpart Radosław Sikorski, Tajani said both countries share a desire to align their approaches to ongoing international crises and improve bilateral coordination.
He noted that Rome and Warsaw aim to take a more active role in addressing regional instability and enhancing diplomatic cooperation on shared strategic concerns.
Focusing on the Middle East, Tajani said both sides support continued negotiations involving Iran and Lebanon, while urging restraint and warning against actions that could further escalate tensions.
He emphasized that ongoing diplomatic talks should proceed without interruption or new military developments, arguing that a lasting peace is essential for stability in both the Middle East and Europe.
